I bought this item for me,and I have to say it is so easy to use. Its small enough to fit anywhere. Even if this item is only 1GB and only holds 2 hours of video. I would highly recommand it to my family & friends
I gave this to my 28 yr. and realized the video quality was too grainy, esp. old daughter for Christmas. She is 'into' photography, etc. when on the 'big' screen of the computer. She sent it back right away and upgraded to the HD version
Along with my wallet and keys my Vado pocket camcorder is in my pocket every time I leave the house. It is no better than cell phone video. Because it is a camera only, I was expecting more. It is easy to use, mostly because it has very few controls, and can be mastered in minutes. The sound is better than I expected. The batteries charge fast and hold their charge. This small, lightweight video camera is very handy. Most youtube videos are of higher quality than this camera produces.
The USB plug that is stored in the cotton corner of the camera housing looks flimsy but has given me no problems so far. I think a plug with a longer cord would be more trouble prone.Although the camera stores an hour of video I am disappointed with the video quality. The zoom function is jerky. The software which is supposed to allow automatic login to youtube did not work for me, but my computer is locked down pretty tight so maybe it is due to a permission problem resulting from my computer's configuration.
This is a great little camcorder. Very smalland easy to travel with. Great that it fitsin a pocket. Would like a longer taping time, but still a good deal.
Nice wide angle lens for close up shooting. I purchased the Vado normal resolution to use for making video under circumstances that I would not want to put my expensive video camera through. I put my Vados in harms way and they keep on ticking. The Vado is tough and does a great job for a little money. Like all cameras it needs light to make good images and it does well indoors under daylight (6500K) fluorescent lights. Great for children I suspect but no experience there. The Vado is the point and shoot of video cameras but sometimes that is all you need.
